Right out of the box it pressures up to 150 PSI. I do allot of woodworking and it is compact enough to set in my shop without taking up a bunch of space. I really like the fact that it is oil-free so my floor stays clean. This is an all-around perfect compressor for lightweight jobs.
This unit may look small, but don’t let that make you pass it by. The BOSTITCH CAP1512-OF compressor is ready to go to work. Its 2 HP (Peak) 1.5 HP (Running) only draws 12 amps and starts quickly without tripping breakers. The high-powered oil-free pump produces 90 PSI or 150 PSI at max. I liked the roll cage which protects it if you travel to and from a shop. It even has an onboard storage unit for hoses and attachments.
I was particularly impressed with the built-in cord wrap. Nothing is more frustrating in getting tangled in cords when transporting a unit. The BOSTITCH CAP1512-OF can operate roofing guns and nail guns. It is perfect for trim or finish work or for a hobby shop. It is only 23 pounds for easy portability.

Pros and Cons
BOSTITCH CAP1512 Reviews
It has had 139 reviews on Amazon.com and received a 4.3 out of 5 stars (at the time of this writing). There are many positive reviews that show that this a quality product. Most reviews boast of it being lightweight and portable and the ease of it starting. “Highly recommended for trim jobs and around the house” can be quoted by several reviewers. It is very comparable to the popular pancake compressors, but for many jobs just as dependable. If you are a roofing contractor you might consider the smaller tank BOSTITCH as a secondary compressor. The recovery is faster than many of its competitors and the handles makes it easy to handle. The roll cage protects the easy to read gages.

To those of us who can’t afford to be put down on the job by broken equipment, this is perfect. Even as a backup compressor, it is worth the price. Many popular compressors have gauges and parts that stick out and banging into objects when transported. The BOS TITCH CAP1512 is ergonomically and has handles that are placed to move it.
Personally, I recommend this compressor. I had a much larger 70 lb. pancake compressor that even with wheels it was difficult to move from my truck to my shop. This unit is so much easier and I am impressed. I can get all of my nailing done and the regulator clicks so you have an idea of how much PSI you have, and when it will need to recover. The recovery time is quicker than my pancake and even though the tank is half the size I hardly notice the difference. If I will stick with this little giant and recommend you check it out for your needs too.
